Robert L. Harger, Jr.

Founder
Mr. Harger was a native of Columbia, Mississippi. In 1966, he graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Business Administration; as well as completing the Harvard Business School for Executive Development in 1976. Mr. Harger was in the securities business from 1978, and formed Harger and Company, Inc. in 1980. In addition to being the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Harger and Company, Inc., Mr. Harger held FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) registrations as licensed Municipal Securities Principal, a General Securities Principal and a General Securities Representative.
For over forty years, Harger and Company, Inc. has advised people on investments, estate and retirement planning as well as charitable giving. Harger and Company, Inc. is a regional securities Broker/Dealer registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Harger and Company, Inc. is also a Registered Investment Advisory Firm and is a member of the Municipal Securities Rule-making Board, FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) and SIPC (Securities Insurance Protection Corporation). It holds licenses in Mississippi, Louisiana, Georgia, and Texas.
Prior to forming Harger and Company, Inc. Mr. Harger was employed by Xerox Corporation for 13 years. His last Xerox management responsibility was District Manager in Nashville, Tennessee. He was a member of the Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce, the Financial Planners Association, the Business Advisory Council for the School of Commerce at the University of Southern Mississippi and an alum of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. Mr. Harger also served with the 82nd Airborne Division, (Rakkasan), United Sates Army. He is survived by his three sons, Ben, Beau, and Mack. Ben is a graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, and Beau, a graduate of the University of Mississippi.
